19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, New King James Version)
For those who are believers in Christ Jesus as I am – this scripture is very familiar. My body houses the spirit within me (a.k.a. Comforter, Dove, Intercessor, Paraclete, Spirit, presence of God, spirit of God, spirit of Truth).
When we think of the body, we think of outward appearance. We become concerned with how we look, instead of how we feel. How we feel is much more of an accurate barometer to live by. Our physical feelings are connected with our inner spirit. For believers as well as non-believers, we all have a consciousness that we are connected to. Our thoughts and actions directly correlate with our consciousness.
Now this is my opportunity to be completely transparent in this area. I have neglected my “temple”!
